Christians are meant to positively influence culture. As we learn to live boldly and authentically for Christ, people will be drawn to us.
In chapters 5 and 6, the bride of Christ goes through a crisis where it appears Jesus has abandoned her. She’s persecuted and questioned. In the midst of this, she choose to worship Jesus. As she does, she gets the revelation that Jesus would never leave her, and even if she can’t feel Him, she know’s He’s in her heart. This revelation can free us from roller coaster Christianity.
This message introduces a series on Song of Solomon. We’ll study the book as an allegory where Solomon represents Jesus and the Shulamite represents the believer. As we interpret the book, we must do so through a New Covenant lens, recognizing that the Holy Spirit worked through the apostles to give us the clearest explanation of the Gospel.
